James 1:19-21

The Word Cuts Deep – The Truth Hurts!

19 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be

quick to hear,

slow to speak,

slow to anger;

20 for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness that God requires.

Receive the Word with Meekness – The Truth Saves!

21 Therefore put away all

filthiness and

rampant wickedness

and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

  2. When God's word confronts you, which of these will you do? listen speak get angry

  3. What kinds of speaking are wrong when God confronts us with a trial, or His word? ________
